The Costa Blanca is noted for its citrus crops.
A push began to grow nisperos for export in 2002. We did not try them, but they are apparently similar to a peach, In the US they are known as loquat and are grown in California and around Houston. The fruit originated in southeastern China.
Calpe, Spain is unique for the large rock (Peñon de Ifach) which is reminiscent of Gibraltar.
Altea with its famous church Nuestra Senora del Consuelo (or Virgen de Consuelo) with its blue dome. One of the few villages along the Costa Blanca that has retained its Spanish charector.
These silhouettes of bulls are found throughout Spain. They were originally bill boards advertising Osborne Bodegas, makers of sherry and brandy. When billboards were outlawed these silhouettes were declared a national treasure and the brand name was removed from the body of the bull.
Guadalest was located inland and was the most interesting place we visited in the Costa Blanca.
